Southern Railway Apprentice 01 / 2025 Notification

Eligibility (Educational Qualification, Age limit, Relaxation in Upper Age limit, Experience)
  • (Freshers) Educational Qualification for Apprentice Fitter, Painter & Welder Posts:- The candidate Should have passed 10th Class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) under 10, +2 System of education or its equivalent.
  • (Freshers) Educational Qualification for Apprentice Medical Laboratory Technician (Radiology, Pathology, Cardiology ) Posts:- The candidate Should have passed 12th Class (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) under 10, +2 system of education with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • Age limit:  The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 22 years Age for freshers and 24 years for Ex-ITI & MLT age as on 25.08.2025. Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in case of SC/ST candidates, 3 years in case of OBC candidates.
  • Selection Process: Selection will be on the basis of merit list prepared (Trade-wise) in respect of all the candidates who apply against the notification in respective trades. The merit list in each trade will be prepared percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks. For the purpose of calculation of percentage of matriculation, marks obtained by the candidates in all subjects will be reckoned and not on the basis of marks of any subject or group of subjects.

  • Fresher’s: 10th std Rs.6000/- (per month)
  • Fresher’s:12th std Rs.7000/- (per month)
  • Ex-ITI: Rs.7000/- (per month)
